The New South Wales Government has committed $300 million towards the construction of a new hospital at Rouse Hill in North West Sydney - forming part of a broader $1 billion commitment to improve hospital infrastructure in the State. The new Rouse Hill Hospital will be paid for with money from the Rebuilding NSW fund, which is sourced from the lease of the State's electricity assets.

While the exact scope of the new facility will be subject to detailed planning, it's expected to include an emergency department, operating theatres, inpatient wards, as well as other services. The location for the new hospital has not yet been confirmed.
