Overview
The South Australian Government will tender for the provision of bus and tram services in metropolitan Adelaide.

The current Adelaide metropolitan bus service contracts will be allowed to expire in the second quarter of 2020, after which the new contracts will be put in place. Adelaide metropolitan tram services are currently provided by the public sector and will be privatised.

The Invitation to Supply (ITS) involves two phases. A group of bus and tram contract areas have been allocated to each phase and the release of these phases to the market will occur in two seperate stages.

Phase 1 - Provision of Bus Services for Adelaide Metro
The Registration of Interest (ROI) was opened in April 2019 and enables parties to participate and provide submissions for both phases of the ITS process. The ROI process closes on 1 August 2019.

The ITS for Phase 1 closes on 15 August 2019.

Phase 2 - Provision of Bus and Light Rail Services for Adelaide Metro
The Registration of Interest (ROI) was opened in July 2019 and is to be submitted by 8 October 2019.
