Bus services in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area are divided into 15 regions, serviced by individual contracts. Historically, these contracts have been operated by a combination of the State Transit Authority and private operators.

Contract 15 will be procured as part of Transport for NSW's procurement processes for 10 out of the 14 Greater Sydney Metropolitan Bus Contracts.
The contract will be procured in Tranche Three alongside Contracts One and Two. Transport for NSW have indicated that contract 15 can be procured in a joint bid with Contract Two.
