The Abercrombie Wind Farm, proposed by Vestas Energy, is a wind farm and battery project, located in Hay, NSW.

  • two batteries with a combined capacity of one-GW / two-GWh, and
  • three collector substations.

PROJECT HISTORY

Oct 2024 Vestas submitted a Scoping Report to the NSW Government, requesting the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the project. The Scoping Report outlined the proposed project scope, including a 2.5-GW wind farm and two batteries with a combined capacity of one GW / two GWh.
Dec 2024 The NSW Government issued the SEARs for the project.
