The proposed Albury-Wodonga Regional Hospital involves the construction of a new, multi-storey clinical services building to be delivered over three stages at the current Albury Base Hospital site. Included in the scope of the project is:
- additional medical and surgical beds
- new neonatal facilities
- additional operating theatres
- a 32-bed mental health facility to replace the Nolan House Mental Health Unit
- a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- expanded outpatient and specialist facilities, and
- a new helipad, with intensive care unit and emergency department access.
Following the project’s construction, the existing Wodonga campus will be redeveloped into a community facility.
