PROJECT STATUS
Detailed Planning
Baldon Wind Farm

The proposed Baldon Wind Farm is a 1.4 gigawatt wind farm being developed by Goldwind Australia, to be located 15 kilometres north of Moulamein, in the south-west of NSW. The project site spans the Murray River and Hay Shire Council areas and is adjacent to the Edward River Council to the east, and is situated within the South-West Renewable Energy Zone (SWREZ).

The project is expected to be constructed in two stages. Stage One will include the delivery of 45 wind turbines and Stage Two will include the delivery of 135 wind turbines. The project will also include a Battery Energy Storage System of approximately 200 megawatts / 400 megawatt hours.

The project would connect to an existing 220kV power line, which runs through the centre of the site, and which will be upgraded with the delivery of Project EnergyConnect.
