Squadron Energy has proposed the Bookham Wind Farm, located approximately 30 kilometres west of Yass.
The full scope of the project includes:
- 99 turbines, with a generation capacity of 594 megawatts (MW)
- a 250-MW / one-gigawatt hour battery
- a substation, and
- transmission connections.

Feb 2025 | The project proponents submitted a Scoping Report to the NSW Government requesting the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs). The project includes a 594-megawatt wind farm and 250-MW / one-gigawatt hour battery. |
Mar 2025 | The NSW Government issued the SEARs for the project. |
Mar 2025 | The project was placed on the EPBC Portal and opened for public submission, closing 7 April. |
