The Booroolong Wind Farm, located near Armidale within the New England Renewable Energy Zone, is a proposed 426 MW wind farm to be developed by Squadron Energy.
The full scope of the project includes:
- Up to 71 wind turbines with a generating capacity of 426MW
- a 150 MW/600 MW/h Battery Energy Storage System
- 22 km of high-voltage transmission lines
- up to 3 substations, and
- ancillery infrastructure
