The Borumba Pumped Hydro Transmission Connections project will link the future Borumba Pumped Hydro Project to two points in the Queensland grid: Woolooga in the north, and Halys in the south west.
The Borumba to Halys transmission connection will be a 106-kilometre, 500 kV connection. It has the ability to co-locate with existing Powerlink transmission lines around Tarong Power Station and Halys Substation for 26 kilometres of its length.
The Borumba to Woologa transmission connection will be a 90-kilometre, 500 kV connection. The corridor captures an existing Energy Queensland distribution line in the northern portion of the corridor for 15 kilometres of its length.
The project is expected to be complete by the time the Borumba Dam Pumped Hydro project is operational.

| Apr 2023 | Powerlink released their draft decision on the two transmission corridors, indicating the 88 km Woolooga West Corridor and the 105 km Halys Central (Option A) were the preferred options. |
