Bowral and District Hospital Redevelopment

The Bowral and District Hospital Redevelopment is a two-stage redevelopment of the Bowral District Hospital and associated infrastructure.

Stage One, completed in December 2020, included delivery of a contemporary Clinical Services Building with:

  • a new hospital entrance
  • emergency department
  • operating theatres
  • adult and paediatric inpatient wards
  • rehabilitation spaces, and
  • new maternity and birthing suites.

Stage Two includes: 

  • a new integrated allied health facility 
  • back of house services 
  • a new administration unit 
  • a new renal dialysis unit, and 
  • a new central sterilising services department and pharmacy.

Feb 2019 Contract Award: Stage One
Dec 2020 Construction Completion: Stage One
Apr 2023 Contract Award: Stage Two
2026 Expected Construction Completion: Stage Two

Successful Tenderer: Stage One: ADCO Construction. Stage Two: Donnelley Constructions

PROJECT HISTORY

Feb 2019 ADCO Construction was awarded the contract to design and construct Stage One of the project.
Apr 2019 Construction commenced on Stage One of the project.
Dec 2020 Construction was completed on Stage One of the project.
Dec 2020 Early works commenced on Stage Two of the project.
Nov 2021 Capital Insight was awarded the Project Management Services contract for Stage Two.
2021 Early works were completed for Stage Two.
Apr 2023 Donnelley Constructions was awarded the mainworks construction contract for Stage Two.
