Brisbane Stadium

The Brisbane Stadium is a proposed multi-purpose stadium to be located at Victoria Park, in central Brisbane.

The new stadium will have a permernant capacity of 63,000 and is expected to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies.

PROJECT HISTORY

Mar 2025 The Queensland Government announced a new stadium would be delivered at Victoria Park as part of the 2032 Delivery Plan.
Jul 2025 An updated intergovernmental funding agreement between the Queensland and Federal governments was announced. The agreement reaffirms previous federal government committments, including a total federal funding envelope of $3.4 billion.
Jul 2025 The Queensland Government opened Expressions of Interest to develop a Victoria Park precinct masterplan. The masterplan will inform the technical requirements for the Brisbane Stadium and transport infrastructure connections.
Aug 2025 The Queensland Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority announced procurement for an Early Contractor Involvement contract would commence in September.
