Bulli Creek Solar and Battery Project

Genex is developing the Bulli Creek Solar and Battery Project located near the Bulli Creek substation, 100 kilometers south-west of Toowoomba.

The project will be delivered over multiple stages, with a final investment decision expected by the end of 2024. Current proposed stages include:

  • Stage One - Bulli Creek Solar Farm
    • solar farm with a minimum capacity of 450 megawatts (MW) and a maximum capacity of 775 MW. The size of the BCS will be confirmed by mid-2024.
  • Stage Two - Bulli Creek Battery
    • a 400 MW / 1,600 megawatt hour battery on the same site as Stage One.

Genex proposes to construct subsequent stages of solar and battery following completion of Stage One and Two, to reach a total two-gigawatt capacity for the project.
