The Bungama Solar Project is a proposed 280-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic and 250 MW, two-hour battery storage facility. The project will feed into the National Electricity Market via a 275-kilovolt connection to ElectraNet’s Bungama Substation.
Bungama Solar will be developed on approximately 530 hectares of cleared land in the suburbs of Bungama, Napperby and Warnertown. The site is approximately six kilometres east of Port Pirie and 220 kilometres north of Adelaide.
