Cobbora Solar Farm

The Cobbora Solar Farm, being developed by Pacific Partnerships, is a 700-megawatt (MW) solar farm and a centralised 200 MW / 200-megawatt hour (MWh) Battery Energy Storage System.

The project intends to connect to the proposed Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission lines and will be located in Cobbora, 15 kilometres west of Dunedoo in NSW.

PROJECT HISTORY

Oct 2021 Marble Energy submitted the scoping report to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment and requested the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project.
Nov 2021 The NSW Department of Planning and Environment issued the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project.
Sep 2022 The NSW Department of Planning and Environment issued a supplementary Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Statement of the project.
Oct 2023 The NSW Department of Planning and Environment issued a new Planning Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project.
Jun 2024 Pacific Partnerships acquired the development rights for the solar farm and BESS from Marble Energy.
