Delivery of the Coomera Connector Stage One from Coomera to Nerang is being planned in stages. Stage One - Central section involves construction of an eight kilometre section between Helensvale Road and Smith Street Motorway in Parkwood.
The scope of the project includes:
- triple carriageway
- grade-separated interchanges at Helensvale Road, Gold Coast Highway and Smith Street Motorway
- active transport pathways, including connections with Helensvale and Parkwood light rail stations, and
- wildlife corridors.
