Delivery of the Coomera Connector Stage One from Coomera to Nerang is being planned in stages.
Stage One - South section includes delivery of a four-lane motorway from the Smith Street Motorway, Molendinar to Nerang-Broadbeach Road, Nerang, a grade-separated interchange at Southport – Nerang Road, and a new bridge crossing over the Nerang River.

Funding contributions
The Coomera Connector Stage One was allocated an additional $864 million in joint-funding from the Federal and Queensland Government. It is unclear how much of that additional budget will be apportioned to the South section of the project.
