Dapper Solar Farm

Dapper Solar Farm is a proposed solar farm 35-kilometres south of Dunedoo in NSW's Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone. 

The project includes: 

  • a 300-megawatt capacity solar photovoltaic generating facility
  • a battery energy storage system, and
  • associated infrastructure, including grid connection.

Origin Energy purchased the project site in December 2021 and is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement for the project. 

PROJECT HISTORY

Dec 2021 Origin Energy purchases 720 hectare parcel of land 35 kilometres south of Dunedoo for proposed project.
Nov 2022 Origin Energy submitted a Request for the NSW Planning Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project.
Feb 2023 The NSW Planning Minister issued the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements.
