Dinawan Solar Farm

Dinawan Solar Farm, is Stage One of the Dinawan Energy Hub, to be located within the South-West Renewable Energy Zone and connect tothe Dinawan Substation.

The project is expected to include:

  • 1.5 million photovoltaic modules with a total generation capacity of one gigawatt
  • Battery Energy Storage System with a capacity of approximately 300 megawatts / 1,200 megawatt hours
  • electrical collection system, substation and control room
  • electricity transmission line infrastructure, and 
  • ancillary facilities.

Nov 2022 The NSW Department of Environment and Planning published Spark Renewables' Request for the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements and Scoping Report for for the Dinawan Solar Farm, Stage One of the Dinawan Energy Hub.
Dec 2022 The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements were issued for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Statement of the project.
