Dinawan Solar Farm

Dinawan Solar Farm is Stage One of the Dinawan Energy Hub, to be located within the South-West Renewable Energy Zone and connect to the Dinawan Substation.

The project is expected to include:

  • Two million photovoltaic modules with a total generation capacity of 800 megawatts
  • Battery Energy Storage System with a capacity of approximately 300 megawatts / 600 megawatt hours
  • electrical collection system, three substations and control room
  • electricity transmission line infrastructure, and 
  • ancillary facilities.

PROJECT HISTORY

Nov 2022 The NSW Department of Planning and Environment published Spark Renewables' Request for the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements and Scoping Report for for the Dinawan Solar Farm, Stage One of the Dinawan Energy Hub.
Dec 2022 The NSW Department of Planning and Environment Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements were issued for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Statement of the project.
Nov 2023 The project's Environmental Impact Statement was placed on public exhibition, closing 14 December.
