Eyre Peninsula Link

The Eyre Peninsula Link is a 270-kilometre, 132-kilovolt (kV) high-voltage transmission line between Cultana and Port Lincoln on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.

The scope of the project includes:

  • construction of 500 new transmission towers
  • upgrades to five substations, and
  • demolition of the previous 132kV transmission line.

PROJECT HISTORY

Mar 2021 Downer were awarded the main works contract following successful completion of the Early Contractor Involvement contract.
May 2021 Main works construction commenced on the project.
Feb 2023 Electranet announced the completion and electrification of the Eyre Peninsula Link.
