PROJECT HISTORY

Mar 2025 The Queensland Government released the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority's 100 Day Review and its 2032 Delivery Plan for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Review and Plan recommended the Arena be included as a 2032 competition venue, to be fully funded by the City of Gold Coast.
Aug 2025 Invest Gold Coast commenced an Expressions of Interest process for the project, closing on 27 November. The EOI documents confirmed the project will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership.
Mar 2026 Invest Gold Coast announced its preferred shortlisted bidder to deliver the project - the AmplifyGC Consortium comprising Plenary Group, Live Nation, Built, Cox Architecture and 3XN. Invest Gold Coast had indicated that up to two shortlisted proponents would be invited to participate in the RFP stage, with a preferred proponent expected to be appointed in Q3 2026. However, with the AmplifyGC consortium the only party shortlisted, the consortium will now singularly progress through the RFP phase.
