Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment

The Griffith Base Hospital Project will include the delivery of a three-story clinical services building containing:

  • an emergency department
  • new aged care and rehabilitation beds
  • operating theatres
  • medical imaging, and 
  • outpatient care.

Also included in the scope is improved on-site parking and the demolotion of remaining redudnant buildings.

PROJECT HISTORY

Oct 2021 The project received NSW Government planning approvals.
Feb 2022 The main works contract was awarded to ADCO Constructions.
Apr 2022 Construction commenced on the new Clinical Services Building.
Sep 2023 The 2023-24 NSW Budget allocated $119 million to the project over four years, including $45 million in FY2023-24.
Jun 2024 The 2024-25 NSW Budget allocated $76 million to the project out to 2026, including $36 million in FY2024-25.
