Gundary Solar Farm

The Gundary Solar Farm, proposed by Lightsource BP, is a 400MW solar photovoltaic project expected to be located across 708 hectares of land in Gundary, NSW. The scope of the works includes:

  • 740 solar panels, generating approximately 540 watts each
  • A system of inverters and voltage step-up transformers
  • A lithium-ion Battery Energy Storage System, including approximately 154 battery stations with a combined capacity of up to 200 to 400 MW, and
  • one switchyard.

PROJECT HISTORY

Sep 2022 Lightsource BP made a Request for the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
Nov 2022 The NSW Department of Planning and Environment issued the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project.
