Hillview Solar Farm

The Hillview Solar Farm is a proposed 300 MW renewable energy facility located 20 kilometres south of Armidale, in the NSW New England Renewable Energy Zone. The scope of the project is expected to include up to 650,000 solar PV panels, with a nameplate capacity of 270 MW.

The project is being developed by TagEnergy.

PROJECT HISTORY

Jul 2024 Ace Power submitted a Scoping Report and a request for SEARs to the NSW Major Project Portal. The Scoping Report outlines an indicative construction start date of late 2027, with construction expected to be complete in late 2029. The Scoping Report further outlines an indicative capital investment value of $1 billion for the project.
2026 The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure issued SEARs for the project.
Aug 2026 TagEnergy acquired project developer Ace Power.
