Project Scope
EnergyAustralia intends to install a utility-scale battery with a four-hour, 350 megawatt capacity in Jeeralang, in Victoria's Latrobe Valley. The battery will be co-located at the Jeeralang Power Station in Latrobe Valley, and has an expected construction period of 12 to 18 months.
The battery is expected to be operational by 2026, before the retirement of the Yallourn Power Station in mid-2028.
