Microsoft is proposing the construction of a 190-megawatt data centre at Kemps Creek in Sydney's West.
The project scope includes:
- two two-storey data buildings covering 60 data halls
- utility provisions including a substation, diesel fuel storage tanks and backup generators
- ancillary opffice space
- 120 car spaces, and
- associated internal roads.

Nov 2021 | The projects State Significant Development application and Environmental Impacts Statement was placed on public exhibition, closing 16 December. |
Jun 2023 | Microsoft receives council approval for data centre. Construction expected to begin in coming months. |
