Kerrs Creek Wind Farm

The Kerrs Creek Wind Farm, being developed by RES Australia, is a proposed wind farm located near Orange, in the Central-West Orana REZ.

The full scope of the project includes construction of:

  • 63 wind turbines with a generation capacity of 441 meagwatts
  • one 33 / 330-kilovolt substation
  • transmission connections, and
  • supporting infrastructure.

PROJECT HISTORY

Sep 2023 RES Australia lodged a Scoping Report and request for the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) with the NSW Government.
Oct 2023 The NSW Government issued the SEARs for the project.
Jun 2024 Supplementary SEARs were released for the project.
Dec 2024 The NSW Government published the Renewable Energy Planning Framework. The SEARs was amended to reflect the introduction of the Framework.
