PROJECT HISTORY
Oct 2023 | Iberdrola submitted a Scoping Report to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, requesting the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs). The Scoping Report set out the proposed projects scope of a 500 MW / 1,000 MWh battery to be delivered across two stages. SEARs were subsequently issued for the project in October. |
Jul 2024 | The project's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was placed on public exhibition by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, with consultation closing on 15 August. The EIS updated the project's proposed scope, which is expected to comprise a single 270 MW / 1,080 MWh battery. |
