The Koorakee Energy Park is a wind and solar generation project proposed by Squadron Energy. The project is to be located in NSW near the state border, approximately 70 kilometres south-east from Mildura, Victoria.
The scope of the project includes:
- a one-gigawatt (GW) wind farm, with approximately 167 turbines
- a one-GW solar farm, with approximately 3,100 hectares of photovolatic panels
- a one-GW / 12-GWh battery energy storage system
- up to five substations
- underground and overhead powerlines to connect the generation infrasturcture to substations and transmission connections, and
- ancillary infrasturtcure.
