The Kwinana Waste to Energy project is a waste processing facility, owned and operated by ACCIONA, which uses moving grate technology to process approximately 400,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste, commercial and industrial waste and pre-sorted construction and demolition waste per annum to produce approximately 36 megawatts of baseload power for export to the grid.
The project is located in Kwinana, Western Australia, approximately 40 kilometres south of Perth CBD.
