Lake Victoria Wind Farm

The Lake Victoria Wind Farm is a planned one-gigawatt wind farm, comprising up to 201 wind turbines, and provision for a 600-megawatt / 2.4-gigawatt hour battery. The wind farm is to be located in south west NSW, about 30 kilometres north west of Wentworth near the Victorian border.

PROJECT HISTORY

Jul 2024 The project's Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements were issued.
Feb 2025 The NSW Government has signed a lease agreement with WestWind Energy to develop the project, located on Crown land 30 kilometres north-west of Wentworth near the Victoria border. The lease would provide WestWind Energy with an initial 25-year lease with two seven-year options to extend.
