Lauriston Solar Farm is a 63-megawatt solar farm located in Lauriston on the Canterbury Plains, 60 kilometres southwest of Christchurch.
The solar farm will consist of approximately 89,880 solar panels across the 90-hectare site.

Dec 2023 | Genesis Energy confirmed that financial close had been achieved for the Lauriston Solar Farm. |
Apr 2024 | Genesis Energy announced that construction has commenced on the Lauriston Solar Farm. |
May 2024 | Genesis Energy announced they had signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Spark New Zealand. The PPA is for a 10-year period and will see all electricity generated from the solar farm purchased by Spark. The agreement will commence in January 2025. |
