The $312 million Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment will upgrade facilities at Lismore Base Hospital and provide two new hospital towers, including a new and expanded emergency department, and expanded service delivery, a helipad, a multi-deck car park, and refurbishment of the existing hospital building C block.
The project is being delivered in multiple phases, including:
- Stage 3A (completed in August 2016)
- Stage 3B, which includes:
- fitting out the Southern Tower, which will comprise:
- a helipad
- peri-operative services
- in-patient services, and
- women's and paediatric care.
- demolition of an existing building to allow for a new six-story Northern Tower to be constructed, which will include:
- expanded critical care facilities
- medical imaging
- support areas, and
- a pharmacy.
- fitting out the Southern Tower, which will comprise:
- Stage 3C, which includes:
- main entry upgrade
- end of trip facilities
- ambulatory care rehabilitation, outpatient and allied health facilities
- research, education and training areas
- executive offices and auditorium
- coronary care unit
- step-down unit
- geriatric evaluation and management, and
- assessment and diagnostic unit.
Stages 3B and 3C were being delivered co-currently.
