The scope of the Rail Package includes:
- approximately 20 kilometres of track duplication between Kuraby and Beenleigh
- six station upgrades
- one station relocation
- three level crossing removals at Woodridge, Holmview, and Beenleigh
- local road works, and
- active transport upgrades.

| Apr 2025 | The Queensland Government awarded the ActivUs Alliance the design and pre-construction contract for the rail package. The award and delivery of main works is expected to follow approval of the Alliance’s completed designs. |
| Sep 2025 | The Queensland Government formally awarded the main works contract to the ActivUs Alliance, following the approval of design and pre-construction work. |
