Logan and Gold Coast - Rail Package

The scope of the Rail Package includes:

  • approximately 20 kilometres of track duplication between Kuraby and Beenleigh
  • six station upgrades
  • one station relocation
  • three level crossing removals at Woodridge, Holmview, and Beenleigh
  • local road works, and
  • active transport upgrades.

Successful Tenderer: ActivUs Alliance, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA, UGL Engineering, SMEC, and WSP

The Rail Package will be delivered as an alliance model.

PROJECT HISTORY

Mar 2024 ActivUs consortium (comprising CPB Contractors, ACCOINA, UGL Engineering, SMEC and WSP ) and Activate consortium (comprising John Holland, Aurecon and AECOM) were shortlisted for the Rail Package.
Apr 2025 The Queensland Government awarded the ActivUs Alliance the design and pre-construction contract for the rail package. The award and delivery of main works is expected to follow approval of the Alliance’s completed designs.
Sep 2025 The Queensland Government formally awarded the main works contract to the ActivUs Alliance, following the approval of design and pre-construction work.
