The Logan Hospital Expansion is being delivered in two stages. Stage One includes:
- an additional 206 beds and treatment spaces
- a vertical expansion of Building Three (emergency department building), delivering four new floors
- building-in of the ground floor of Building Three, and
- refurbishment of clinical, clinical support and operational service support areas in the other existing hospital buildings.
Stage Two includes:
- a new clinical services building known as Building Four
- 112 additional beds, and
- new operating theatres.
Other works to the hospital include:
- a new $18.8 million maternity service
- a new $61.9 million eight-level car park, and
- refurbishment of existing clinical and support areas in other buildings.

Jun 2019 | In its 2019-20 Budget the Queensland Government allocated $7.5 million for FY2019-20 and $30 million in FY2020-21 towards the project. The remaining funding will be spent between FY2021-22 and FY2022-23. |
Jun 2020 | The Queensland Government released the Invitation to Offer (ITO) to companies shortlisted during the expression of interest process. |
Nov 2020 | In its 2020-21 Budget, the Queensland Government allocated $20 million towards the project for FY2020-21. |
Jun 2021 | In its 2021-22 Budget, the Queensland Government allocated $80 million to the project for FY2021-22. |
2021 | Construction on Stage 1 commenced. |
