Manning Hospital Redevelopment - Stage 2

The Manning Hospital Redevelopment - Stage 2, is a proposed $180 million redevelopment of the existing Manning Base Hospital, located in Taree, NSW.

The final scope is yet to be determined, however, will include:

  • construction of new inpatient building and upgrades to inpatient accommodation,
  • enhanced connectivity, and 
  • upgraded telehealth services.

PROJECT HISTORY

Nov 2020 The 2020-21 NSW Budget allocated $2 million to the project over FY2020-21, and announced the projects estimated total cost of $100 million.
Jun 2024 The 2024-25 NSW Budget allocated $3.3 million over FY2024-25 and announced the cost of the project had grown to $180 million, following the integration project of the Forster-Tuncurry health facility into the project.
Sep 2024 The NSW Government announced early works construction would commence in 2025 pending the appointment of a works contractor.
