The Marion Road Upgrade involves upgrading Marion Road between Cross Road and the Anzac Highway. The project involves:
- a grade separation of the tram level crossings on Marion Road and Cross Road
- widening of the Anzac Highway / Marion Road Intersection
- widening of the Cross Road / Marion Road Intersection, and
- pedestrian and cycling access improvements.

The contract was awarded to the Tram Grade Separation Projects Alliance, comprising McConnell Dowell, CPB Contractors, Arup, Mott MacDonald and sub-Alliance partner Aurecon. Major construction was expected to start in late 2024, with the level crossings to be removed by the end of 2025. |
