The Rail Systems Package of the Suburban Rail Loop Airport (SRL Airport) comprises the delivery of the:
- High Capacity Signalling (HCS)
- Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) system
- Traction Power System (TPS)
- Rail Control Systems
- Communications Systems including fibre optic network and Digital Train Radio System, and
- Systems integration and assurance.

| Jun 2021 | Along with the beginning of Expression of Interest process for the Sunshine to Albion Package, Rail Projects Victoria announced its intention to deliver MAR through a total of six major works packages. This included the Rail Systems Package. Rail Projects Victoria noted that this packaging structure was subject to scope changes and realignments. In particular, Rail Projects Victoria indicated it was exploring the potential for all or part of the Rail Systems Package scope to be delivered through the future Sunshine to Albion Package Alliance. |
