Melton Level Crossing Removal - Package One

The Melton Level Crossing Removal project is being delivered across two packages and will see:

  • a new Melton Station with four platforms with pedestrian walkways, cycling paths, pick-up and drop-off zones, and lifts and stairs to each platform
  • new rail bridges over Coburns and Exford Road, and
  • new road over rail bridges at Ferris Road and Hopkins Road.

Package One includes delivery of the road over rail bridges at Ferris Road and Hopkins Road

PROJECT HISTORY

Dec 2024 The Victorian Government announced construction had commenced and is expected to be completed in 2026.
May 2025 The Victorian Government awarded a $229 million contract to an alliance comprising Fulton Hogan, Metro Trains Melbourne and the Level Crossing Removal Project to deliver Package One of the project.
