Melton Level Crossing Removal - Package Two

The Melton Level Crossing Removal project is being delivered across two packages and will see:

  • a new Melton Station with four platforms with pedestrian walkways, cycling paths, pick-up and drop-off zones, and lifts and stairs to each platform
  • new rail bridges over Coburns and Exford Road, and
  • new road over rail bridges at Ferris Road and Hopkins Road

Package Two includes the Station and rail bridges at Coburns and Exford Road.

PROJECT HISTORY

Aug 2024 The Victorian Government awarded a $560 million contract to an Alliance comprising John Holland, Kellogg Brown and Root, Metro Trains Melbourne, V/Line and the Level Crossing Removal Project to deliver the project.
Dec 2024 The Victorian Government announced construction had commenced on the project.
