The Melton Line Upgrade includes an upgrade to existing rail infrastructure in West Melbourne. The scope of the project includes enhanced stabling works and improved stations to accomodate nine-car Vlocity Trains.
The progress of this project is reliant on the removal of four level crossings along the line, as part of the Melton Level Crossing Removals project.
