The proposed Merriwa Solar Farm is located approximately eight kilometres from Merriwa in NSW. The solar farm would comprise:
- a 550 megawatt solar farm
- a 400 megawatt / 400 megawatt-hour Battery Energy Storage System, and
- connection to Transgrid's 500 kilovolt transmission line.
The project is being developed by Valent Energy, which is owned by Gaw Capital Partners and BW ESS.
