The Middlebrook Solar Farm is a proposed 320-megawatt (MW) solar farm and battery storage system located approximately 20 kilometres south of Tamworth. The project will be located between, but outside of, the New England and Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zones.
The project scope comprises construction of:
- a 320-MW solar farm comprising 750,000 solar panels
- a 320-MW / 780-megawatt hour Battery Energy Storage System
- an onsite 330-kilovolt substation, and
- other associated infrastructure.
