The Middlebrook Solar Farm is a proposed 320 megawatt (MW) solar farm located approximately 20 kilometres south of Tamworth. The project will be located between, but outside of, the New England and Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zones.
The project scope comprises construction of:
- 750,000 solar panels equating to 320MW of solar generation capacity,
- a 300MW/600MWh Battery Energy Storage System,
- an onsite 330 kilovolt substation, and
- other associated infrastructure.
