Moah Creek Wind Farm

The proposed Moah Creek Wind Farm, located 30 kilometres west of Rockhampton,  is being developed by Central Queensland Power. The proejct will deliver 360 MW of energy, its scope includes:

  • 60 wind turbines,

  • associated hardstands and access roads,

  • electrical substation and switching station,

  • overhead and underground cable reticulation connecting turbines to the substation,

  • meteorological masts for wind and climate monitoring, and

  • operations and maintenance (O&M) building and car parking.

PROJECT HISTORY

Mar 2024 The project was determined to be a controlled action under the EPBC Act by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
Oct 2025 The project was awarded a Capacity Investment Scheme Agreement as part of the Capacity Investment Scheme Tender Round Four.
