The Muswellbrook Solar Farm is a proposed solar and battery project located adjacent to the former Muswellbrook Coal Mine in New South Wales, within the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone.
The project, proposed by OX2 in partnership with Idemitsu Australia, includes:
- a 135-megawatt solar farm
- a 135-megawatt / 270-megawatt hour battery
- an onsite substation
- approximately 2.4 kilometres of 132-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines, and
- a 132-kV switching yard.
