Stage Two of the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment will follow on directly from Stage One, and include delivery of:
- an Intensive Care Unit
- medical Imaging services and Nuclear Medicine
- an in-centre Renal Dialysis Unit
- cardiology services
- more in-patient beds including paediatrics
- clinical support services including Pharmacy
- staff education and training facilities
- community health facilities, and
- a new front of house and reception area.

Mar 2018 | The NSW Government announced a commitment of $450 million to fund Stage 2 of the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment. |
Oct 2020 | The NSW Government announced it will fast-track enabling works for Stage Two of the $1 billion Nepean Hospital Redevelopment by two years. The concept designs for Stage Two were also released. |
Apr 2021 | The Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) were issued for Stage 2 of the project. |
Jun 2021 | The 2021-22 NSW Budget allocated $89 million to the project in FY2021-22. |
Nov 2021 | The NSW Government released the designs for Stage Two of the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment. |
Dec 2022 | CPB Contractors were awarded the contract to construct the Stage Two of the Hospital Redevelopment. |
Feb 2023 | Construction commenced on the project. |
