The proposed Paling Yards Wind Farm is a 290-megawatt wind farm consisting of 47 turbines with a maximum tip height of 240 metres. The wind farm will connect to the Mount Piper to Bannaby 500-kilovolt transmission line via a new terminal station to be located approximately eight kilometres north-east of the project site.
The project proponent is Global Power Generation Australia and the wind farm will be located in the NSW Central Tablelands region, approximately 60 kilometres south of Oberon, 60 kilometres north of Goulburn and 140 kilometres west of Sydney within the Oberon Local Government Area.
