The Parron Wind Farm, proposed by Zephyr Energy, is a wind generation facility to be located in Badgingara, 180 kilometers north of Perth.

The scope of the project includes up to 79 turbines, with potential generation capacity of 490 megawatts.

PROJECT HISTORY

Jan 2025 The project was added to the EPBC Portal for public consultation, closing 20 January.
Jan 2025 The project was referred to the Western Australian EPA for assessment, closing 23 January.
Mar 2025 The project was included in the Federal Government's inaugural Renewable Energy Priority List. The Priority List aims to provide coordinated support through Federal, state and territory regulatory and environmental approval processes on a case-by-case basis and provide a 'faster to yes, faster to no' approach to regulatory approvals.
Mar 2025 The Western Australian EPA declared an assessment would not be needed for the project.
