Sydney Water has proposed a new pre-treatment plant at Propsect Resovoir, to increase processing capacity of the existing Prospect Treatment Plant. The facility will have an initial capacity of 500 megalitres per day.
The project includes development of a new facility upstream of the existing site to assist the water network following periods where water quality has been impacted. Future works include upgrades to the existing treatment plant and installation of a new tilling gate.
