Punchs Creek Solar Farm is a solar farm and battery proposed by Skylab Australia, to be located approximately 64 kilometres south-west of Toowoomba in South West Queensland.
The project's scope of works includes:
- an 800 megawatt (MW) solar farm, comprising 1.7 million solar PV panels
- a 250 MW capacity battery, and
- a connection to Powerlink's existing transmission line.
The project will be constructed in two stages, with stage one comprising a 400 MW solar farm and 250 MW battery, and stage two comprising another 400 MW solar farm.
The project's proponent has not indicated the battery's duration capacity.
