Kingston Offshore Wind Farm

The proposed Kingston Offshore Wind Farm would be located across State and Commonwealth waters between Cape Jaffa and south of Coorong, along the coast of Kingston SE and Lacepede Bay. The project has a total target 400-600 megawatts.

Following the joint venture agreement between Skyborn Renewables and Australis Energy Ltd, the project was rebranded from SA Offshore Windfarm to Kingston Offshore Windfarm.

Aug 2021 SA Offshore Windfarm submitted an EPBC Act Referral.
Jun 2022 Joint venture agreement undertaken between Skyborn Renewables and Australis Energy Ltd for three offshore wind projects - WA Offshore Windfarm, SA Offshore Windfarm, and VIC Offshore Windfarm.
Aug 2022 Chris Bowen MP Minister for Climate Change and Energy announces six proposed regions that have offshore wind energy potential and potential to be declared renewable energy zones, including off SA.
Nov 2022 Skyborn Renewables announced re-branding of Kingston Offshore Wind Farm.
